Marmomac // Announcement of the jury of the Best Communicator Award 2017
17.07.2017
The jury of the Best Communicator Award has been announced. The Award - conceived by Veronafiere in 2007 and dedicated to the best exhibit stands at Marmomac - has seen its prestige expand year after year among the more than 1600 international exhibitors attending the event.
This year, the five authoritative jurors appointed to assess exhibit design are: journalistGiorgio Tartaro, who returns as jury president, architect Cinzia Anguissola, deputy editor of Domus, Donatella Bollani, international stone industry consultant, Piero Primavori and Massimo Rosati, journalist and design blogger.
The self-nomination formula is a new feature in 2017: all companies will be able to send information about their stands to BCAward@veronafiere.it by 5 September 2017. The jury will develop an evaluation based on the documentation received.
A glimpse, a set-up, choice of colours or lettering, a unusual product display from rough blocks to finished slabs and objects, from tools to machines: the entire value chain is involved in this competition. There are four categories - Stone, Design, Machinery and Tools - and two winners in each category (one Italian and one international).
Today, successful attendance at a trade fair is increasingly linked with the impact of stands as direct tools for dialogue with visitors. Exhibit design is a fundamental form of communication not only for selling products or services but all the more so in order to attract visitors and convey the image and, consequently, the essence of the company. The jury of the Best Communicator Award is therefore called on to select companies that prove able to interpret their exhibition spaces in this way.
The awards will be presented during a ceremony in the Forum Area (inside the Italian Stone Theatre) on the second day of the event (Thursday 28 September).
