Vicenza, 21 December 2023 – The sport fishing community celebrates Italian pride at the fair in Vicenza.
Pescare Show 2024, the reference event for fishing and pleasure boating enthusiasts organized by the Italian Exhibition Group - IEG on 3 and 4 February 2024, hosts the FIPSAS Azzurri awards ceremony. On Saturday 3 February, in the Palladio Theater inside the exhibition centre, the Italian Federation of Sport Fishing and Underwater Activities will award the gold, silver and bronze medals to all the athletes who have distinguished themselves in the national and international competitions of the FIPSAS disciplines, bringing over 300 athletes to the fair representing the many podiums won during 2023. An unmissable event for all fishing lovers, which demonstrates the event's commitment to promoting and enhancing the excellence of this sporting discipline.

FLY FISHING, TECHNIQUES AND TIERS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD
Every year, Pescare Show brings together the most important Italian and international manufacturing companies in the sport fishing and pleasure boating sectors, together with retailers, schools and relevant associations, offering enthusiasts the opportunity to discover the latest news, participate in technical demonstrations and get in touch with industry experts.
In this regard, among the most anticipated innovations of 2024, the fly fishing demonstrations which, with the agreement stipulated by the event with the European Fly Fishing Association (EFFA), will be strengthened thanks to the involvement of the most illustrious European members. The Fly Tying Experience area will host renowned builders from all over the world, including international experts such as Rupert Harvey from South Africa, Tom Sullivan and Jackie Mahon from Ireland, Javier Pena from Spain, Michael Grosjean and Théo Guignard from Switzerland, Rok Luštrik from Slovenia. The Italian representation is also rich: Luigi Mautino, Samuele Sicchiero, Sandro Ulisse, Stefano Carmagnani, Franco Vaccarino, Alessandro Belluscio, Danilo Lazzarin, Fulvio Oliva, Marco Feliciani. A unique opportunity for enthusiasts to discover the most innovative techniques from the masters of this particular fishing technique.

 

CAPTURE...WITH THE CAMERA
Another novelty of the Vicenza edition of Pescare Show is the presence at the fair of the first international photographic competition H2O Photo Contest, International Award for Nature and Fishing Photography organized by the event's media partner H2O Magazine. The contest, open to all fishing enthusiasts of any age and nationality, is divided into two categories: "Late summer landscapes" and "The most exciting fishing of the year". To participate in the contest, it is necessary to send the photos by December 31, 2023 to the email address of the contest organizer, Giorgio Cavatorti (info@cavatortigiorgio.it). SPORT FISHING INFLUENCERS AT PESCARE SHOW
As further proof of the importance that the event has for the sport fishing community, the involvement of the best content creators during the days of the fair. From Andrea Petetta, founder of the channel
YouTube Fishing & Biodiversity and appreciated by anglers of all techniques, to Luca Quintavalla, a point of reference for black bass fishing, who uploads videos, tutorials and tricks for largemouth bass fishing on the Quintabass YouTube channel. From Stefano Adami, fishing guide and testimonial for some of the most important fishing and on-board electronics companies, to Nicola Petrucci, who in his Fishing Itineraries offers ideas for athletes who are not fond of competitions. And again, Guglielmo De Brasi and Leo Raimondo, who have created a community around the Noi Sono Pescatori website for sharing experiences and photographic shots; Matteo Menichini and Eva Cuccu, a couple in the internet and in life, who together manage Love Fish on YouTube, and Francesco Menotta, soul of the Fishing Sempai channel.
