The importance of sustainability

MOVO, a startup participating in the Innovation Village Retail during the June 2023 edition, presented a packaging solution that is all about circularity. It combats single-use and revolutionises the world of packaging thanks to a single pack that can be reused more than 20 times. The result is less waste, a 75% lower CO2 footprint and a cleaner, healthier planet. MOVO's idea and presentation skills earned it a place in the Startup Competition final, proving that sustainability drives are of great value for the present and future of the planet and the market.

A global participation confirmed

Expo Riva Schuh & Gardabags can count on the support of the major players in the volume footwear, leather goods and accessories industry: institutional bodies, consortiums and private companies at national and international level. Also for the January 2024 edition the participation of important European and American retailer associations has been confirmed, demonstrating that the impact of the fair remains international. In particular, ANCC - Association of Spanish Retailers and NSRA - The National Shoe Retailers Association from the United States of America.

It is worth remembering that among the countries present at the fair during the last edition there was an important presence of Turkey, with The Aegean Exporter's Associations: 47 Turkish exhibitors presented their products among footwear, bags and small leather goods.

Upcoming events

Expo Riva Schuh & Gardabags is a partner of the 21st UITIC Congress "Moving towards sustainability through Innovation". 

The congress programme covers three days: 20, 21 and 22 September, plus an optional day on 19 September.

The event will be held in different locations between Milan and Vigevano: first, visits to companies of technological excellence, followed by the entrance to the Simac Tanning Tech exhibition, and finally the actual congress work session.
