Inside Marmomacc & Abitare il Tempo: Companies meet design, architecture and experimentation in Hall 1 thanks to the involvement of leading international designers.
The 49th edition of Marmomacc will welcome, in collaboration with Abitare il Tempo, an area dedicated entirely to Made in Italy with cultural exhibitions, events and conferences.
This venue, strategically located in Hall 1, will serve as a bridge between Palaexpo - where Abitare il Tempo is hosted - and the rest of the exhibition centre reserved for companies exhibiting at Marmomacc. This new exhibition concept will ensure better integration of visitors to the two shows and allow all exhibitors to play an active role in the programme of events through company workshops, B2B meetings and experimental exhibitions.
“Beyond decoration" at Abitare il Tempo is a creative workshop from past to present.
The cultural and educational initiatives at Abitare il Tempo (24-27 September 2014) include the project titled "Beyond decoration, Venice as a creative workshop from past to present" which in turn includes an exhibition and a conference conceived and organised by ADI Veneto & Trentino Alto Adige in collaboration with VeronaFiere. The history of living and decoration will be narrated through the interwoven knowledge and skills that help make Venice and the Veneto Region so great. A "palette" of noble and very different materials will be developed to characterise an exhibition proposal to be developed in collaboration with prestigious companies in the sector, in order to interpret the urban landscape and history of Venice through these compositions.
The event will consequently embrace decorative elements and finishings, from fabrics to mosaic tiles in glass, metal or marble and natural stones in general, as well as paints, dyes and lacquers, all kinds of wood with different finishes and processing using other innovative and experimental materials.
