Icon Award Jury Announced

The award for the work that will be used as the advertising campaign image for Marmomac 2018                                                                                                                                      

An installation, a project, a work of art: an iconic image ensuring aesthetic impact and symbolic value capable of becoming the focus of the Marmomac communication campaign for the following year. This is the objective of the Icon Award created by Veronafiere and now at its second edition. 

All the installations on display in The Italian Stone Theatre will be exclusively compete for this prestigious award. This hall is implemented by Marmomac in collaboration with the Ministry for Economic Development, ICE-Italian Trade Agency and Confindustria Marmomacchine as part of the Special Made in Italy Promotion Plan. It celebrates Italian design and technology excellence in the stone processing field. 

Three excellent names have accepted which this important assignment: Cristina Celestino, architect and designer, Andrea Maragno, founder of the Joe Velluto studio and educational coordinator of the Italian Design School, and David Pambianco, editor of Pambianco Design. 

They will assess the project that best conveys the beauty and versatility of stone together with the craftsmanship and industrial skills of Italian companies; space for artistic and design creativity! 

The winner will be announced with a dedicated press release at the end of the Show. 

The current iconic image for Marmomac 2017 is Panca Play, the project by Denis Santachiara implemented by Costa Paolo Co. that won the Icon Award in 2016.
