Fruit&Veg Innovation

An agreement was signed in Verona between Italy's two leading exhibition organizers, giving rise to a unique international event for the fruit & vegetable industry. Fruit&Veg Innovation will be held yearly, in Verona in even years and in Milan in odd years. The first edition is slated from May 8 to 11 2017 in conjunction with Tuttofood.

The new exhibition Fruit&Veg Innovation, created from the union of Milan's Fruit Innovation and Verona's Fruit&Veg System, is already receiving the first exhibitor applications as well as a number of significant expressions of interest both from Italy and abroad.

Taking place from June 5 to 11, the b2b mission to Kazakhstan focused on fruit and vegetables and touched the city of Almaty as well as the capital Astana. Meetings were scheduled with leading Kazakh importers and large-scale distribution chains. Organized by Omnibus Comunicazione and sponsored by Fruit&Veg Innovation, the mission saw the participation of major Italian fruit and vegetable exporters.

From May 5 to 7 Milan was home to 'Spazio Nutrizione', a new event on healthy nutrition organized by Tuttofood in cooperation with Akesios Group, Università Statale di Milano and 15 medical and scientific companies. In 2017 this major date for doctors and nutritionists will be hosted inside Fruit&Veg Innovation and will communicate the nutritional benefits of fruit and vegetables.

Medfel, the French fruit and vegetable show whose eighth edition took place from April 26 to 28 in Perpignan, was visited by Fiera Milano and Ipack Ima to promote the 2017 edition of Fruit&Veg Innovation (May 8-11). French companies present at Medfel showed interest in the Italian exhibition's new formula. This lays the basis for increased participation from France.
