Italian companies confirm their presence at Upakovka-Upak Italia, Moscow, to grow in spite of the crisis

A solid representation of Italian printing and packaging companies will participate in the upcoming Upakovka-Upak Italia, January 26-29, Moscow.

The ongoing difficulties of the Russian market did not discourage ACIMGA industrialists and Italian packaging companies: the participation, organized by C.P.A spa, will occupy a total of 600 square meters of exhibition space and with about 40 companies is the second largest delegation, just slightly below Germany. In spite of the climate of concern for the future of the local economy, the Italian representation shows solidity and ability to look to the future beyond the current situation.

“The Russian market is in serious difficulty, and for this very reason we believe the time is right to invest and show we are here to support the market”, says Marco Calcagni, Sales & Marketing director of OMET and president of ACIMGA.

Statements by other companies part of the Moscow delegation are along the same lines. “Upak Italia-Upakovka is a fixed date for UTECO Group as the event representing the biggest opportunity on the Russian market in terms of sales volumes, brand renown and reputation”, says Stefano Squarcina, Eastern Europe Sales Manager of UTECO Group.

“We invested in long-term relationships with our partners in the Russian market and today we have relations with market leaders, which were less hard hit by the current difficulties. To us, this fair provides additional opportunities to strengthen the relations and position of our group; only those with a short-term vision choose to give up”, says Jasper Joosten, Area Manager of CAMA Group.

“Siapi is an active part of Russia’s economy and in the future will continue to participate as a provider of machines, technology and expertise – comments Executive Sales Manager Mauro Calenda – We’ve been active in Russia for over 20 years with a branch office in Moscow and have over 100 machines sold to our credit; in spite of the difficult times for the market, the trend in 2015 was positive and projections for the current year are favorable, thanks to projects developed with top global partners”.
