Milan, 28 May 2017 - SMART BUILDING EXPO, the new trade fair organised by Fiera Milano and Pentastudio dedicated to electrical and electronic systems, building automation, and system integration, will take place in Fiera Milano from 15 to 17 November simultaneously with SICUREZZA 2017, biennial exhibition of security & fire.
And the results are more than encouraging. It is not just the number and quality of the participants that prove it. Major players of the home and building automation and TLC system industries have confirmed their presence already. And if we combine this with the high-level content of the conference schedule selected by the Steering Committee, and to the new Spazio Startup area, then the situation is clear.
With Spazio Startup, SMART BUILDING EXPO aims at highlighting new companies that design and create innovation, thus helping research and development processes. Therefore, SMART BUILDING EXPO has become Italy’s unique resource for the all-digital smart building supply chain and point of reference for learning about products, technologies, services, innovation, installation methods, laws, and rules.
The definition of the meetup schedule is processing smoothly. It aims at representing the numerous fields involving technology and digital services for the smart building. Among the topics that will be discussed there is IoT and Smart Metering perspectives, the infrastructure for the development of the Ultra-high definition TV, BIM (Building Information Modelling) design of smart systems and systems as the “heart” of the new design concept, and the Digital Signage Forum – the remote support for disability.
This important information activity, together with technical workshops providing continuing education credits, is the result of the work carried out by the Steering Committee, which aims at defining the most interesting and necessary training programs based on the requirements of the supply chain.
The Steering Committee, coordinated by Luca Baldin, project manager for SMART BUILDING EXPO, is composed by Stefano Della Torre (Polimi-Director of the ABC Department); Razvan Pitic (Polimi-IoT Observatory); Alberto Pavan (Polimi-ABC Department, BIM area); Nello Genovese (ANITEC-Confindustria); Andrea Ceppi (ANIE Sicurezza Confindustria); Roberto Vogliolo (SIEC-InfoComm); Erasmo Corbella (CNA Formazione-Ecipa - Lombardy); Claudio Pavan (Confartigianato Impianti); Ingrid Paoletti (Polimi-ABC Department); Silvia Ricci (Assimpredil ANCE); Nicola Ruggiero (ANITEC-innovation and internationalisation area); Domenico Lunghi (Fiera Milano).
SMART BUILDING EXPO, in collaboration with The Next Building magazine, promotes the 2017 Smart Building Award, established to enhance and give visibility to the smart building concept. This award is dedicated to designers and manufacturers who have helped develop intelligence in terms of connectivity, efficiency, services, and performance, thus promoting living innovation based on the digital revolution.
SMART BUILDING EXPO will also host the epilogue of the Smart Building Roadshow, the initiative promoted and sponsored by Fiera Milano and SICUREZZA 2017, Cisco Italia, Open Sky, Fracarro, Fte maximal Italia and GFO Europe, to raise awareness about the smart building chain supply, the application of art. 125 bis of the Italian Construction Consolidated Act, which makes the broadband reception mandatory for all new or renewed buildings. After the first stage in Naples in April, the Roadshow will be moving to Milan on 16 June, Bari on 21 September, Turin on 12 October, and finally at SMART BUILDING EXPO in November.
