Rimini, 28th May 2015 – Ten years of success for RIMINIWELLNESS. The numerous fitness, wellness and sports fans, queuing at Rimini Fiera turnstiles right from the early morning to enter the tenth edition of the huge show, once again confirmed the event’s undisputed leadership.
Rimini Fiera chairman Lorenzo Cagnoni reminded, “From 2006 to the present day, the event has brought over a million and a half visitors to the Riviera: from just over 70,000 at the first edition to over 250,000 last year. So, I won’t hide my feeling of pride for this great expo. A feeling I share with the exhibitors and public on the tenth anniversary of this Fair, which our staff has been able to plan, launch and turn into a market leader. Events like this create value for the entire sector and the local area. They are International worktables and innovation showcases. In Germany, the leading nation for the exhibition industry, they definitely understand the decisive role played by expos at which a real "national system” is offered. The Italian Government has also taken the important measure of allocating resources for expos and this merits praise. I hope this is a first step, a first political sign for a sector that can have undoubted effects on the GDP.”
The appointment inaugurated today thus promises to be memorable. There was tangible enthusiasm at the ribbon cutting ceremony, at which participants included the president of the Emilia-Romagna Region Stefano Bonaccini, the regional councillor for Manufacturing Activities Palma Costi, Rimini’s mayor Andrea Gnassi and the chairman of Rimini Fiera, Lorenzo Cagnoni. Celebrity hostess of the ceremony: Giorgia Surina, actress and television program hostess. Other attendees included Christof Innerhofer, winner of several Olympic and world ski medals, and Stefano Baldini, marathon Gold Medallist at the 2004 Athens Olympic Games and currently technical director of the FIDAL juvenile sector
This year, the expo dedicates more space to food with Macfrut, the leading fruit and vegetable exhibition organized by Cesena Fiera, which will be held in Rimini from September 23rd to 25th, Food Well, the area dedicated to healthy eating for those who practice sport (the Web’s most popular food bloggers are taking part: from Chiara Maci to Federica Gif), and Rimini Coffee Festival Art Bar, the new format on coffee culture and its beneficial properties.
There will be countless new products and previews, many of which are designer items and high-tech. From the rowing machine that had its moment of glory on TV – in fact, it was used by Frank Underwood, the star of the TV series ‘House of Cards’ – to the innovative products conceived for sports integration, from the exclusive mixture of carbohydrates enriched with cacao flavanols to Quinoa bars .... and chicken bars; a special treadmill for the challenge of climbing stairs, the Eiffel Tower Challenge, with the test of climbing the 1,665 steps of the Parisian tower in the shortest possible time; then there is equipment with super-innovative designs that enable to do three different types of work, even if compact, portable and able to be dismantled in a minute.
