FABULA LITICA – THE ENCHANTED FOREST

Among the four main exhibitions at Marmomac 2025, Fabula Litica offered a poetic and innovative vision of stone, transforming it into a narrative and a subject of research. Curated by Giuseppe Fallacara, the installation was centred around a stone sculpture inspired by the famous Veiled Christ by Giuseppe Sanmartino, depicting a female figure evoking the story of Sleeping Beauty in the Forest, within a symbolic dialogue between nature, technique, and material.

As part of the Marmomac Meets Academies 2025 project, Fabula Litica served as a meeting point for academic research, design, and industry, exploring natural stone as a contemporary language. The exhibition highlighted the role of experimentation and collaborative design as essential tools for reinterpreting lapidary tradition in a modern key.

Conceived as a true research laboratory, the exhibition brought together diverse skills and visions, transforming stone into a tool for knowledge and creativity. It stands as a virtuous example of collaboration, demonstrating how innovation in the sector arises from the combination of craftsmanship, technical excellence, and design sensibility.
