The industry is recovering well, maintaining a healthy state, and aiming for a live event at the beginning of 2022. Raul Barbieri, general manager of Piemmeti, “We are getting prepared for an edition that will see innovation and environmental sustainability as the dominating topics. Indeed, those two elements aim at a common goal and are complementary to each other”.

Verona, 14 May 2021 – Technological innovation and environmental sustainability are crucial factors that will decide our future's fate - and are also essential for the biomass-heating sector. From stoves to fireplaces, boilers, barbecues, as well as wood and pellet cookers: Progetto Fuoco, the flagship event for the industry, has its engines already running at full speed. Biomass-heating companies, which the pandemic has only slightly brushed, are buzzing with anticipation for the live event at the beginning of 2022.

The fair promoted by Piemmeti will take place in Verona from 23 to 26 February 2022 under entirely safe circumstances guaranteed by the strict adoption of all post-Covid health regulations. The promoters expect more than 800 exhibitors and 75,000 visitors from all corners of the world and welcome them serving conferences, workshops, start-up pitches, demonstrations, and training opportunities. Progetto Fuoco confirms itself as a major platform for exchange and updates on biomass-heating systems while remaining strongly business-oriented.

"We are bustling with ideas for Progetto Fuoco 2022, getting prepared for an edition that will see innovation and environmental sustainability as the dominating topics. Indeed, those two elements aim at a common goal and are complementary to each other," says Raul Barbieri, general manager of Piemmeti, "Biomass-energy is renewable, economical, and safe – it is up to us to use this resource reasonably. We need to include sustainable forest management and limit waste and emissions as much as possible. To do so, we require new technologies and an innovative spirit as our allies."

Technological Innovation, Start-Ups and Hackathons
Young innovators and start-ups will exhibit alongside large companies, which have always collaborated to develop the industry. The former, gathering from Italy and all over Europe, will enter the spotlight when the curtain rises for the second edition of "Give Me Fire - Progetto Fuoco European Startup Award", promoted by Progetto Fuoco and Blum. During a series of pitches, the industry's prospects will introduce their technologies pointed to boost the biomass-heating industry. Parallelly, students, developers, and other talents will find solutions to problems posed by the participating companies in the course of a hackathon.

Progetto Fuoco: The Product Gallery
The 2022 edition will be augmented by the new portal "Progetto Fuoco WEB-GALLERY", a showcase dedicated to the market, which enables to search for products based on performance, consumption, energy classes, and much more.
