The voice of the exhibitors of Zoomark International
Italian and foreign exhibitors shared with us their expectations for Zoomark International 2021 and their vision for the near future. Here are the words of some of them.
Chairman & managing director
Viozois sa (Greece)
The show is an opportunity to learn about all the new trends in the industry and the market, and come into direct contact with potential customers, which gives us a good idea of both what we need and what they need.
The trend for the humanization of animals will require higher quality products, created and produced with respect, care, knowledge and a lot of research.
After various "digital" trade shows, it is important to get to know the people behind the phone numbers and email addresses in person. It is very important to be able to see and test the products directly.
After a very good 2020, the year 2021 has also already started very successfully. But it is difficult to predict exactly how this trend will develop. On the one hand, the rising trend and, on the other, the emerging difficulties in obtaining the necessary raw materials in time and at low cost.
Marketing & business development director Group Depre NV – Division Group Depre Petfood (Belgium)
We expect this to be the first major trade show after the Covid 19 era, and it will give us the opportunity to host our international guests/customers at our booth. Physical contact with customers and products is always better than a digital presentation.
The humanization of pets will continue to boost spending in a number of segments.
It will certainly be an interesting event, being so eagerly awaited. We all need it. I have customers who I have not seen in person for more than a year and a half now.
We had an excellent 2020, and 2021 is going even better: our industry is experiencing an unprecedented rate of growth. I think there are basically two reasons for it: the increase in the number of pets and the changes in the dynamics of household spending.
Our industry is the one showing the most growth right now, and Zoomark in person is the perfect opportunity to share that with everyone. With the travel restrictions in place for almost two years, now everyone wants to get out there, see the products, look for ideas, talk about things.
We've had a year of growth, and this is another factor that encourages companies to invest, to exhibit at the show, reach out to others and see what's going on. I don't think that the growth achieved during the pandemic will fall away when the emergency dies down.
I personally am very much looking forward to seeing everyone again, welcoming visitors to our stand and scoping out the market, tapping into that two-way influence and getting a feel for the new trends and new products. It is easy to imagine that all the prospective visitors - the event's key players - are looking forward to it. Nowadays, trade shows are not about finalizing contracts, but building new relationships and strengthening existing ones, getting ideas and gathering information in a way and with nuances that virtual platforms as yet do not allow. You have to go all in, and commit the necessary resources.
