Presentation in Milan on 4th April, from 2:30 pm at Hotel Michelangelo
World production of photovoltaic energy continues to increase and IEG intends filling an expo gap bringing together from 7th to 10th November 2017 at Fiera di Rimini all the sector’s players Key Storage and Key Solar will join the Key Wind and Key Efficiency areas
Rimini, 28th March 2017 – The European expo hub of the circular economy is adding new events. On Tuesday 4th April, at Milan’s Hotel Michelangelo, Italian Exhibition Group (the expo organization company established with the merger between Rimini Fiera and Fiera di Vicenza) will present two new proposals that will enrich the next edition of Ecomondo e Key Energy, being held at Fiera di Rimini from 7th to 10th November, following the extraordinary success of 2016 with over 105,000 attendees.
Key Storage will be dedicated to the storage of energy from renewable sources to highlight a key technology:Energy Storage Systems.
These offer the possibility of using energy collected from renewable sources when clients do not require it.With the support of ENEA, in its role of national agency for energy efficiency, as well as an expo area, Key Energy Storage will offer a series of conferences with the presentation of best practices.Communication and relations activities will be added to ensure a calendar of B2B meetings mainly targeting relationships with Middle East and East European industry and trade members.
Key Solar on the other hand is a new expo sector with qualified contents dedicated to photovoltaic energy and fills an expo gap that offers the sector an opportunity for aggregation and a solid reference point for analyzing scenarios, examining directions for development and presenting new products. The expo area and events for networking, in the context of a great exhibition that for over 20 years has accompanied the evolution of the green economy, will ensure a great new business opportunity.
Key Solar and Key Storage join a positive market phase.Gianni Silvestrini, chairman of the Key Energy Scientific Committee, explains, “With a very rapid growth, the world photovoltaic market has reached a total power of almost 300,000 MW, and Italy holds the record for the percentage of solar electricity fed on to the grid. The continuous drop in prices enables to estimate that the amount of energy generated with sun and wind will exceed atomic energy at the beginning of the next decade.”
Following a difficult period, it is also increasing in Italy again (22% in 2016), with Terna and ENI preparing to make large investments without resorting to incentives. The European Union also has ambitious programs, with incentives for the local bodies for those who install solar systems. In the meantime, storage systems are increasing, with 6,000 installed last year in Italy and prospects of considerable development for solar-battery combinations.
The two new expo sections will be presented in Milan by IEG Italian Exhibitions Director Patrizia Cecchi. She anticipates, “They further complete an expo showcase featuring photovoltaic and wind energy alongside cogeneration, biomethane, energy efficiency, electric transport and building upgrades involving the integration between the various areas. The organization of technical seminars and conferences will also provide the possibility of clarifying the opportunities available for photovoltaic energy and storage.”
It must be remembered that the global proposal regarding energy efficiency includes the confirmation of an entire hall named Key Efficiency, hosting technologies, systems and solutions for intelligent use of resources and a hall dedicated to the wind sector called Key Wind (with the fundamental support of the ANEV (Italy’s National Wind Energy Association), which at the 2017 edition will be full of new features, with European partners and the sector’s big players.
On the subject of the two new sections, on the 4th of April, the day dedicated to the prospects of photovoltaic energy and storage in Italy, there will be a round table at 3:00 pm.Invited by IEG and Gianni Silvestrini, scientific manager of Kyoto Club and chairman of the Key Energy scientific committee, participants will be:
Alberto Pinori, chairman of Arie Rinnovabili, Fabio Zanellini, Chairman of the Technical Commission of ANIE Energia’s Gruppo Accumuli, Agostino Re Rebaudengo, chairman of AssoRinnovabili, Paolo Rocco Viscontini, chairman of Italia Solare, and Massimo Venturelli, chairman of ATER, Italy's association of renewable energy technicians.
Speeches are scheduled by:
Davide Valenzano (GSE):Opportunities of revamping in the light of the new DTR (Technical Reference Document)
Luigi Mazzocchi (RSE):Convenience of the storage-photovoltaic combination
Tommaso Barbetti:(eLeMeNS) – The future of Italian photovoltaic energy:the market, grid vs. market parity, business models
Paolo Pietrogrande:(Netplan Management Consulting, LLC) – Are investors disappointed with renewables? To invest successfully, the solution is “stay local, stay small”
Andrea Poggio:(Legambiente) – In-house generation, prosumers and energy communities:prospects considering European solicitation and national limits.
Discussions between companies will follow, with the participation of Enel, Fz Sonick, Sonnen, Sma Italia, Vipsolar and Senec Italia.
The appointment is organized in collaboration with ANIE Rinnovabili, ANIE Energia, AssoRinnovabili, ATER, Coordinamento FREE, FIRE and Italia Solare.
