The location of the next Enovitis in Campo - Il Naviglio, an agricultural company belonging to the Fantini brothers in Fabbrico (RE), is the leading partner of the cooperative in Reggio Emilia, one of the largest and most historical wineries in Cantine Riunite & Civ.
The 30 hectares of vineyards - Salamino, Sorbara, Ancellotta dell’Emilia, Grasparossa, Malbo Gentile, Lambrusco Marani and Maestri - recently planted and trained by the spurred cordon, Guyot and Sylvoz, with an average production of about 5,000 quintals a year, are directly managed by the owners together with Riunite’s agronomists. The philosophy of Il Naviglio is to maintain high-quality standards combined with the use of the most relevant technologies in the viticultural field. An example is the programmed mechanical harvest that, thanks to the detection of the ripening levels of the grapes, makes it possible to plan the harvest on the most appropriate day. Just as the vineyards of Il Naviglio are well suited to the field tests, "Vitae" - an imposing farmhouse, recently transformed into a b&b and equipped for events and meetings – immersed in the company’s vineyards, is perfect to welcome visitors and to host the Enovitis in Campo side events. With a strong accent on training, these will involve guided tours, seminars and multidisciplinary workshops dedicated to the new frontiers of innovation in viticulture.
